SAYMA Welcomes Contributions

SAYMA welcomes both unrestricted contributions and contributions for a specified set of purposes. Checks should be made out to SAYMA and mailed to:
     SAYMA
     c/o Administrative Assistant Robert Collins
     5612 10th Ave S
     Birmingham, AL 35222

Unrestricted Contributions
If the purpose of a contribution is not specified by the donor, it is assumed to be unrestricted. Unrestricted contributions go into SAYMA's General Fund. DONATE ONLINE

Donor-Restricted Contributions
SAYMA accepts donor-restricted contributions for the following purposes:

SAYMA accepts donor-restricted contributions on condition that the restriction will last a maximum of 10 years from the time of the donation. If the donated funds remain unspent after that period, SAYMA may at its discretion re-purpose the funds. To ensure that donor intentions are followed for the 10-year period, contributions for each of the listed purposes are accounted for in separate donor-restricted funds. Donor-restricted funds are spent before funds for the same purpose that have been designated by SAYMA.

The donor may specify the purpose of a donor-restricted contribution in one of four ways:

  1. DONATE ONLINE via Square: select from the links above
  2. Memo line of check
  3. Note or letter accompanying check
  4. Contribution form: PDF

SAYMA's Tax Status
SAYMA meets the IRS definition of a church under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Donations are deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Contributions from IRAs
Contributions made directly to SAYMA from a traditional IRA can be counted toward satisfying required minimum distributions for the year. Please notify treasurer@sayma.org.
